Switch to FSB

Whether you are moving to the neighborhood or you're looking for a locally owned  "community bank"  with great customer service, First State Bank is here to provide your financial needs.  

 

1.  Open your First State Bank accounts 

Visit any of our 1..2..3.. convenient locations in Nora Springs, Rockwell or Rudd. Our friendly staff will help you choose the account that fits your needs. 

 

2.  Move your transactions to your new FSB accounts 

Switch any automatic withdrawals to First State Bank. Use the attached "Automatic Withdrawal Change Form" to notify any business or organization that you have authorized to make automatic withdrawals from your account and let them know that you have switched to FSB.

Switch any Direct Deposit transactions by filling out the attached "Direct Deposit Change Form" and provide to your employer or other source of benefits or income payments.

For Social Security benefits, call the Social Security Administration at 1-800-772-1213 to request your benefits be sent to First State Bank.  You must provide certain personal information, including your new account number. 

 

3.  Close your old account 

Contact your old financial institution to close your account. Verify your account balance and write a final check for deposit to your new accounts at First State Bank.
